A permanent fixture?

The mess on portions of Highway 6 and Highway 9 stretching from Dillon and through parts of Silverthorne are now with us for many weeks. Is there any conclusion to this nuisance?

When crews were working on this project weeks ago, a noticeable portion of them seemed to be idle at times, just standing around.

Was that an indication of the urgency to complete this work? Meanwhile, we are at least rid of the confusing lines of orange cones that often led us through channels of puzzling lanes. What is the long-term prognosis of this rough state of affairs?
