A real local apologizes for bad manners

Caroline GannonAlma

After almost 19 years in and around Summit County, I feel comfortable in extending a sincere local apology to Dennis Gaibler from Nebraska (SDN, March 9) for the behavior of someone who apparently possesses little ability to display proper manners, but has probably only lived here long enough to “think” they are a local. As a longtime resident here, I can tell you there are many people who understand and appreciate the value of our guests, such as yourself. Please do not take the actions of one bad apple as the general opinion of our mountain population.
