About the Blue Team vs. the Red Team

I am a Blue Independent in the sea of Red who just read Theresa McCormick’s Nov. 9 letter. She says, “It’s time for Democrats to quit whining and unite.” She then says that “a majority of citizens voted with their brains” and “get over it … Let’s become citizens who work together.”I don’t think that derogatory statements about the opposition is the smart way to unite the country. The Blues that I know aren’t whining. They are sitting back waiting for Bush backers to realize what they have done by electing Corporation Bush (oil, gas, lumber and big business) for four more years. I saw a recent news broadcast that should be the start of an awakening for people. It was about the polar ice cap melting. It was about global warming, the kind that is going to probably turn Summit County ski areas into semi arid hills. It’s only one of the many issues that the Blues gave a lot of thought to.
