Add diversity to your landscape

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

When the beetle kill trees are gone, it’s time to think about adding diversity to your landscape. Summit County Extension and the Town of Silverthorne invite you to a free workshop on planting the right tree in the right place, amending your soil, and increasing the survival rate of seedling trees. Presenter is Dr. Curtis Swift, CSU Extension Soil and Turf Specialist. Middle Park Conservation District will demonstrate how to re-vegetate disturbed grounds with grass seeds. Applications to purchase seedling trees will be available. Join us on Fridayfrom 3-5 p.m. in the Blue River Room at the Silverthorne Library. Light refreshments will be served. Call (970) 668-3595 to register.
