Live music with La Lealtad Musical de Oaxaca
The Historic Brown Hotel hosts live music with La Lealtad Musical de Oaxaca starting at 9 p.m. A Mariachi band from Oaxaca, Mexico, playing authentic Mexican tracks for Cinco De Mayo. The newly-remodeled Brown Hotel is at 208 N. Ridge St. in Breckenridge.
Cinco de Mayo celebration with Mi Casa
On Thursday, May 5, Mi Casa restaurant in Breckenridge is hosting its 33rd annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. There will be a silent auction, Mexican buffet, happy hour drink prices and live music with Drew Reges. All proceeds benefit the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center and the Willie Whalen Memorial Fund. Adults are $25, kids are $12.
Mexican Metal Tooling for Families
In the Mexican Metal Tooling for Families class, participants will learn an ancient folk art using texture and wooden tools. The class is at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Quandary Antiques Cabin, 131 S. Ridge St. Please register at least 24 hours in advance at breckcreate.org. (970) 453-3364.
