A high-altitude airshow will be added to Breckenridge’s July Fourth festivities this year, with a performance by Rower Airshows and Wild Horse Aviation at more than 10,000 feet above sea level.

Spectators will be able to catch the show at 11:30 a.m. July 4 from Main Street following the annual parade.

Producers say the show will be the world’s highest airshow, and the complications of flying at altitude are expected to make the flights particularly challenging and exciting.

The Fourth of July festivities in Breckenridge will also include a 10k trail race, the Firecracker 50, free concerts and a garden party at the Barney Ford Museum.
