Allard seeks applicants for capital conference

Sen. Wayne Allard (R-Colo.), Colorado State University President Larry Penley and University of Denver President Marc Holtzman want to hear from Coloradans who would like to participate in the seventh annual Allard Capital Conference to be held June 16-18 in Washington, D.C.

“The Allard Capital Conference gives Coloradans an unmatched opportunity to meet and question this country’s most prominent political leaders and high-ranking government officials,” Allard said.

Participants will gain insight into the workings of Washington and the decision-making processes that affect all of our lives.

“This year’s conference promises to be the best ever. We have two new co-sponsoring institutions, Colorado State and the University of Denver, and they are bringing a new, exciting dynamic into the mix,” Allard said.

This year’s speakers include Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and 9-11

Commissioner and former

congressman Tim Roemer.

Coloradans interested in attending the conference should contact one of Senator Allard’s state offices or his Web page at to obtain an application.

The registration fee is $250. Participants are also responsible for their hotel and transportation costs. The deadline for applications is April 16.
