Alpenglow announces new program art

Local amateur photographer Bob Karcz took the photo. He hikes miles to find favorite spots to capture just the right scene, and his efforts have been rewarded many times in the community. This photo captures alpenglow and a stream just when the lighting illuminates the landscape.

Karcz moved to Summit County from Wisconsin 11 years ago. What was a casual hobby in the Midwest grew to a focus on the natural beauty of Colorado and the Southwest. Karcz’s photos are featured in the book “Capture My Colorado” and have appeared on the cover of local Parade of Homes guides.

The Alpenglow Board thanks the many photographers who responded to its request for landscape photos for publicity for the 2009 festival.

The Alpenglow chamber music series will hold its 12th season Sept. 15-20. It will include a concert-workshop with Summit High School musicians as well as two community concerts and two soiree concerts in private homes.
