Alpine Bank relief efforts acknowledged

On Sept. 27, representatives from the resort community, business community, local government, media, education community, nonprofit organizations, and supporting individuals gathered at Alpine Bank in Dillon to acknowledge local Hurricane Katrina efforts past, present and future. Special guests at the event included Egon Gerson, local American Red Cross volunteer, and hurricane survivor Lana Corll with her rescued dog, Jake.Donations and supplies are still needed as victims rebuild their lives. Alpine Banks of Colorado are pleased to announce community and employee donations collected have exceeded $393,408. All contributions and matching funds will be forwarded to the American Red Cross.Community members can continue to make donations at any Alpine Bank location or online with a credit card at
