Alzheimers Association offers caregiving tips

The Alzheimers Association of Colorado presents its Caregiver Tips: Activities for People with Memory Loss program on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 1-3 p.m. at the Summit County Community & Senior Center, 0151 Peak One Blvd., in Frisco.This series of Caregiving Tips covers the importance of activities for the person with dementia, and how to design and structure activities that promote contented involvement and enhance quality of life. This class is for family, friends, professionals and volunteer caregivers of those with Alzheimers disease or a related dementia. Activities help those with Alzheimers disease relieve boredom, provide stimulation, reduce restlessness, raise self-awareness and keep an individual with Alzheimers more alert.
