The Summit County Democrats would like to extend an apology and issue a clarification regarding a letter to the editor published in the April 5 edition of the Summit Daily. We understand, support and reaffirm that municipal elections are meant and deserve to be non-partisan. We further uphold multi-party collaboration in maximizing opportunities for all candidates to air their views. We appreciate and applaud the courage, commitment and sacrifice all candidates for public office express in their willingness to serve in this capacity.
