Angry Democrats create Republicans

John Williams, Silverthorne

I was sad to see yet another disappointed and angry voter voice an opinion on Sunday. Comments about President Bush such as “illiterate buffoon” and “deserving of hatred” do not make for unity. I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans consistently in my 30 eligible years of that great privilege. However, this year I found myself greatly turned off by the campaign run by the Democrats.Nor did I like the Republican campaign. However, listening to the Democrats for a full year of attack politics simply wore me down.I did register my complaint with the respective campaign headquarters as well as at the voting booth. The election is over but the attacks keep coming. The post election attacks have even spilled over into negative comments about my Christian faith. This again does not endear me to the Democrats. If the Democrats want my vote in the future, I need reasons not accusations. There is a great saying, “If you’re rocking the boat, you’re not rowing.”
