Annual Harvest Dinner at Vinny’s today
September 22, 2010
If you are passionate about delicious, organic, locally grown and sustainable food, then join us for the second annual Harvest Dinner today at Vinny’s Restaurant in Frisco. Foods will be featured from Grant Family Farms, Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy (courtesy of SIRJJ in Frisco), High Country Highlands Ranch and That Fish Guy.
Farmers, ranchers and food suppliers will be present for discussions and questions about their products and Community Supported Agriculture (CSAs).
This is a very special event with a one-night-only menu featuring organic, local and seasonal food.
The best thing about the menu, besides the yummy food, is that most of the food is grown within a 150-mile radius.
These days, most of the food you purchase in the supermarket can travel nearly 2,000 miles before it lands on your plate.
Space is very limited in the intimate setting of Vinny’s.

There are six seating times to accommodate diners (5:30 p.m., 5:45, 6, 7:15, 7:30 and 7:45 p.m.). Reservations are a must because seating is so limited.
The cost for adults is $50 and kids are $20. All of the food was donated by local farmers and ranchers except for the salmon which was harvested sustainably, so all proceeds (except drink purchases) go to the High Country Conservation Center. The dinner benefits the grassroots conservation efforts of the High Country Conservation Center.
