Anti-Bush letters are laughable

John SchuetteBlue River

I’ve read a lot of irrational anti-Bush nonsense in these letters to the editor, but the ones from writers suggesting terrorist leaders support Bush are so absurd as to be laughable. History has shown terrorists and ruthless dictators thrive when the free world cowers in fear rather than taking action to defend itself. After years of attacking U.S. embassies, naval ships and the World Trade Center with no effective response, the terrorists became strong and bold enough to pull off 9/11. Bush has taken the war to the terrorists and the rogue governments that harbor them. John Kerry and his supporters in the letters columns appear to favor the Clinton approach of doing nothing that might “upset” the terrorists and, then, not without the approval of entities like the United Nations and France, who seem to be more interested in profiting from rogue dictators than disarming them.Happily, the terrorists don’t control our elections or Kerry would win in a landslide.
