The west Montezuma Bowl at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Summit County will be closed for a few more days while crews investigate Saturday’s avalanche.

A group of 15 skiers managed to escape without major injury after the avalanche. An Arapahoe Basin ski patroller was leading a group of 14 skiers when a snow slide caught them at about 2:48 p.m. in west Montezuma Bowl, according to a statement released by the resort.
