Arapahoe Basin Ski Area to open new downhill mountain biking trail Saturday

FRISCO — Arapahoe Basin Ski Area announced on its social media channels Friday evening that the ski area’s new downhill mountain biking trail will open Saturday.

A-Basin said the one-way trail, which is free to ride, is not lift accessible because the ski area is closed for summer operations. That said, the ski area’s mountain biking and hiking trails and disc golf course will remain open at A-Basin as long as conditions allow.

“It’s a short trail but a great preview of what’s to come,” A-Basin spokeswoman Katherine Fuller said in a text message.

A-Basin’s new mountain biking trail is a part of the ski area’s planned expansion of summertime recreation offerings, including new mountain biking and hiking trails and a climbing course.

We will be opening our new downhill mountain biking trail tomorrow, Saturday, September 21. Enjoy it before the snow…
