Art of the matter: get over it

Hannah LennonBreckenridge

The reality of the matter is that no event will be to the liking of 100 percent of the population. That said, the Breckenridge Resort Chamber, Breckenridge and the ski resort work together to strategically schedule and place events so as to benefit as many as possible. Kudos to event sponsors, organizers, marketers, volunteers, participants and attendees who make our events possible. To all the complainers: get over your greed and realize that events are for the greater good of the entire community.Be thankful we have the resources to host such happenings. Perhaps one day we’ll stop marketing events or just cancel them all together. Shops will be out of business. Kids won’t have jobs to come back to. The restaurant next door will be long gone and the attorney across the street will have set up shop elsewhere. So please, stop whining or move.
