Arts Alive! Fall Art Show a success

Thanks to the generosity of local merchants and the hard work of numerous volunteers, the Summit County Arts Council’s Fall Art Show at Arts Alive! Studio and Gallery was a resounding success. The gallery was packed for the opening evening’s award ceremony, with tantalizing food and high-quality art pleasing the crowd. A bittersweet aspect to the evening was the farewell to Anyes and Michael Adams, whose tireless work and commitment created Arts Alive. Special thanks also go to Breckenridge Ski Resort, City Market, Target, Hang Time Framing, Ski Hill Framing, Giampetro’s, Frisco Wine Merchant, Petal and Bean, Josh Galvin, Diane Jaynes, Sue Almand, Kate Hudnut, Scott Howard and Cecilia Eidemiller. Show awards were: Best of Show – Mike Jackman; Watercolor – Barry Westerland; Print – Jenn Cram; Oil – Amy Evans; and Photo – Anyes Adams. The People’s Choice Award is still collecting votes, so stop by Arts Alive! Gallery in La Cima Mall and cast your ballot for your favorite painting.
