Aspen roommate brawl is a jawbreaker

ASPEN ” Strains between roommates boiled over at the Pan and Fork Mobile Home Park July 12, resulting in a melee, according to Basalt police.

Three men were charged with third-degree assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, for fighting, Sgt. Stewart Curry said. One of the men returned home to trailer number two in the park to find the door locked. After it was unlocked, he slammed a roommate with the door and a fight broke out, said Curry.

Another roommate emerged from a bedroom and joined the fight. A fourth roommate, who was trying to talk on the telephone, asked for peace and quiet and got punched in the mouth. His jaw may have been broken, Curry said.

Everyone but the telephone talker was charged. They were Felix Vazquez-Toledo, Carlos Florian Monzon and Milton Ramos Monzon, according to the police report. All the men are in their early 20s, said Curry.
