Assist the Copper Mountain Chapel Foundation with a round of golf

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

The Copper Mountain Chapel Foundation is hosting a golf outing at the Copper Creek Golf Club on Sept. 13. The 18-hole, four-person scramble will have a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Singles, twosomes, threesomes or foursomes are welcome at $85 per player. This fee covers a cart, greens fees, a post tournament buffet at JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern and a raffle. Call the Copper Mountain at (970) 968-2318 ext 19803 to make a reservation.

The Chapel Foundation maintains the chapel for the use of several congregations and nonprofit or governmental agencies that use the chapel. The chapel has also been offered to Copper Mountain to be used as a Red Cross shelter in case of emergencies. The foundation maintains a food bank for the use of Copper Mountain employees or visitors in need; it also has given money to employees without insurance who have contracted cancer and other diseases or injuries. Come assist the Chapel Foundation in helping those in need for the 2009-2010 ski season.
