Avalanche awareness classes offered

The Keystone Ski Patrol is offering avalanche awareness classes today and Feb. 18 from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $65 and includes a textbook, a presentation on avalanche awareness, an outdoor snow profile and snowpack stability test demonstration, a beacon drill and a guided run in the new snowcat-skiing terrain in Keystone’s legendary bowls.Participants should bring their ski and backcountry equipment and come prepared to ski/ride.
