Backstage is in touch with excellent theater

In response to the story March 3 headlined “A touchy subject?”: I would like to commend Jeremy Cole, the Backstage Theatre and its actors and actresses on doing a spectacular job of bringing a variety of theater to our community.

It’s refreshing to see such talent as well as a variety of theater offered in a community as small as ours.

I would much rather stay here and support the local talent and community, than go to Denver to see theater.

To the former board member who feels we should be doing more family-oriented theater, have you been to the high school’s plays?

Or have you attended the productions the Children’s Theatre puts on here every summer?

Those, as well as many other performances, put on by the Backstage Theatre are family-oriented, and are well supported by the community and have sold out performances.

For those of you who don’t know what “The Vagina Monologues” is, read up and you’ll get a better understanding of just how powerful of a play this is.

If there is an R-rated movie playing at the movie theater, and you aren’t comfortable seeing that type of movie, would you go? Personally, I like having the freedom to choose. Besides, in reality all it (vagina) is, is a body part.
