Backstage’s KidsPlay workshop will present ‘Tarzan’ this spring

BRECKENRIDGE – KidsPlay, the Backstage Theatre’s children’s workshop, is back for the spring session. Kids will learn about the stage, costumes and makeup, as well as how to create characters, learn lines and blocking, and how to make an audience laugh through theater activities.

The workshop is open to all first- through eighth-graders. Rehearsals and performances will be held Mondays from 3:30-5 p.m. and Tuesdays from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Breckenridge Theatre, located at 121 S. Ridge St. in Breckenridge. Workshops instructors are Nikki Heffner, Tim West and Faith Rohrbacher. This spring, participants in KidsPlay will present “Tarzan.”

Rehearsals begin Feb. 19. Performances are the weekend of May 4, specific dates and times are yet to be determined.Space in KidsPlay is limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
