Battle of the Bands is June 11

The Breckenridge Music Festival will draw an assortment of local bands and solo acts to the Riverwalk Center to compete head to head in a Battle of the Bands at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 11.

Each year, eight to 12 bands comprised mainly of students battle each other for prizes and the ultimate right to claim themselves the winner of the contest.

Each band will play for about 10 minutes. The panel of judges will include KSMT DJ Stacey, local musician Sal Mancini and other individuals from the local music scene. Winners will be determined that evening and will walk away with prizes from All Music Inc., Great Adventure Sports, A Big Hit, Unity Snowboards, My Thai and the Boatyard, as well as some potential new fans.



The Battle of the Bands is a drug and alcohol free event.

To purchase tickets, $5 (includes $1 box office service fee) to Battle of the Bands call the Riverwalk Center Box Office at (970) 547-3100. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
