BBQ at the Summit winners announced

Dillon-The Rotary Club of Summit County presented its 14th annual BBQ event August 7-8. More than 20,000 people strolled the winding streets of downtown Dillon enjoying the sites, sounds, smells and tastes of 80 teams from all around the country, competing for a variety of awards.

4 Legs Up of Great Bend, KS won the Grand Champion. They were awarded $2,500 in cash, a $1,100 Traeger smoker, donated by Over the Fence BBQ of Thornton, CO, and the Championship Belt Buckle. Next, with the Reserve Grand Champion, was Smoke n’ the Rockies of Pueblo, CO. They were awarded $1,500 in cash and the Reserve Grand Championship Belt Buckle.

Golden Toad of Littleton, CO captured 1st place for the People’s Choice award.
