Sometimes there is no better playground or park than what Mother Nature naturally provides.

The Frisco Adventure Park in Frisco has worked to utilize the natural features surrounding its park, and, as a result, it has become one of the most popular parks and playgrounds for kids – and adults — in Summit County.

One thing that sets the Frisco Adventure Park apart from other local parks and playgrounds is the wide range of activities the park offers to guests on a year-round basis.

In the summer and late spring, the Frisco Adventure Park is a prime location for hiking, biking, skateboarding and disc golf, while during the winter months it offers visitors activities like snowshoeing, tubing, Nordic skiing, and downhill skiing and riding via the beginner ski hill.

The extensive list of outdoor opportunities is ultimately what continues to draw people to the park, with the condition of the trails and amenities acting as an added benefit.

“The hiking and biking trails at the Adventure Park are built with passion by a team of dedicated staff members who equally enjoy the outdoors and showcasing what Frisco has to offer,” said Frisco Adventure Park general manager Erin Socks. “This pride, upkeep and vigilant maintenance are what keeps our terrain in top shape, making for a better visitor experience.”

With a 28,000-square-foot skatepark, an extensive system of cycling and Nordic trails, and a 27-hole disc golf course, it takes a concentrated effort to operate and maintain the Frisco Adventure Park.

“Operating and maintaining our trails and amenities is a year-round feat,” Socks said. “The Adventure Park management and staff regularly evaluate needs and areas for improvement to better provide accessibility and a safe operation for all.  We are currently implementing bike park and trail improvements you can enjoy in the future.”

Beyond operating and maintaining all of the activities at the park, the Frisco Adventure Park staff also makes sure to listen to the feedback of the public and uses it to make decisions that will enhance the overall guest experience.
