Bid to benefit Colorado Mountain College

Event: Silent Art AuctionWhen: Bids accepted now until Sunday April 28Where: Colorado Mountain CollegeBRECKENRIDGE – Looking to support Summit County’s creative community? A silent art auction at Colorado Mountain College’s (CMC) Theater this weekend benefits both the visual and performing arts. Several individuals have donated art from their private collections to be auctioned.All proceeds benefit the renovation of the CMC Theater, which will be re-named the Tom Hart Theater in honor of the College’s longtime director of arts and humanities and developmental studies. Hart costars in CMC’s production, “Leavin’ Cheyenne,” playing Saturday and Sunday. He says he plans to stay actively involved in theater even though he recently retired from his administrative position.Art pieces for sale include the work of locals Carl Scrofield, Bob Winset, Matt Lit, Leona Sophocles, and Leanne Worda. Silent bids will be accepted now through Sunday, April 28. Successful bidders will be notified by Monday, April 29.The art is now on display in CMC’s gallery.
