Summit Daily staff report

The Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA) continues Wednesday, Aug. 17 with a performance by indie rock Calexico at the Riverwalk Center. It is also the first day for performances by Saurus, a piece of street theater that features stilt-walkers outfitted in 18-foot-tall dinosaur-like costumes. The 11 a.m. performance was canceled due to delays in travel, but the 1 p.m. time is still a go. To make up for the lost performance, three are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. On alternating days, the company will perform STX, a choreographed drumming show featuring percussionists moving synchronously on stilts through the streets of downtown. Saurus performs on Aug. 17, 19 and 21; STX performs on Aug. 18 and 20.

BIFA is a 10-day multi-arts celebration, bringing acrobatics, music, dance, film, street theater, art displays and more to the town.
