Biff America column brought tears to my eyes

Many people spend Sunday mornings relaxing and reading the newspaper. I’m no different except along with my local paper, I read the Summit Daily News online.

While I walk the dog Sunday morning, my wife prints out Biff America’s column. We’ve been doing this for as long as the Daily’s Web site ( has been in operation.

I hope the citizens of Summit County appreciate the talent you have living in your community. His most recent column about his father and himself and the Vietnam War brought tears to my eyes.

I noticed his column was absent from last week’s paper. Next year, I’ll plan my vacation a week earlier.

Editor’s note: Biff America’s column will reappear this Sunday with repeats of some of Biff’s favorite columns. He returns with fresh material after the offseason.
