Biking on Swan Mountain Road |

Biking on Swan Mountain Road

The safest way to bike on Swan Mountain Road is from east to west with the first leg on the new bike path.

If the County would paved the dirt shoulder from that point to the summit it would make the situation much safer for everyone. Paving the dirt shoulder would also cut down on maintenance matters of that shoulder, no erosion problems.

Once at the summit a biker can go downhill on the west side faster than any other vehicle therefore not being in the way of the motorists.

I decided long ago that I will not ride uphill on Swan Mountain road from the west side due to bad visibility and virtually no should at all.
