Biz Q and A

Q What type of business do you operate – what do you sell, or what service do you provide?

AWe sell, service and provide parts for almost all major home appliances. We also provide dryer duct-cleaning service. This should be done every year to prevent fires and allow dryers to run more efficiently.

Q Where are you from, and why did you decide to open your business in

Summit County?

A Eric was born in Wisconsin and found his way to the mountains from the corporate controller world of Chicago. David was born in Iowa and moved to Wisconsin to pursue a sales career with Motorola. David met Eric along the way, and the two became friends. David moved to Colorado in 1999 and worked for Nordic Refrigeration as the sales and service manager. When the business opportunity presented itself, David invited Eric to visit and presented him with the opportunity. They worked on a business plan and made their dream come true.

QWhy did you choose

to open where you did?

AWe opened the Frisco location after much thought and market analysis.

Also, since we were only working six days a week, 10- to 12-hour days, we decided it just wasn’t challenging enough, and we went ahead with the

expansion into Summit County.

QWhat sets your business

apart from other similar businesses?

AWe feel our formula for success has simply been giving the customer a quality product at a fair price, assisting the customer in their buying decision and seeing the entire sale or project through to the end no matter what. We also offer priority service for property managers, caretakers, builders and resort services.

Q What are your plans

for your company’s future?

A We’re hoping to open stores on the east and west coasts in the future so we can get a vacation near a sandy beach and warm water.
