Q: What type of business do you operate – what do you sell, or what service do you provide? Buffalo Mountain Gift Baskets provides unique, Colorado-themed gift baskets and boxes for all occasions including holidays, birthdays, secretary’s day, bachelor or bachelorette parties, weddings and any other occasions. I use Colorado-based products to create gourmet gift baskets that include wine jellies, delicious chocolates, spiced tea and cider mixes, crackers, cheese, sparkling ciders, soup mixes, dip mixes and many other items. We also make baby gifts with a Colorado flair, as well as corporate gifts.Q: Where are you from, and why did you decide to open your business in Summit County?I have been a long-time local of Summit County since 1985. I have worked in a lot of different customer-service related fields and know how to appreciated how one feels when receiving a gift for a special occasion, or no reason at all.

Q: What experience do you have in this field? I have been making gift baskets for friends and family for years and, when the company I was working for closed, I decided the time was right to pursue this dream. I feel I am unique in the goods and services that I offer because I quality-test each food item and have a crazy streak that allows me to be funky and creative.Q: What types of customers do you hope to reach in Summit County? I hope that anyone who loves giving and receiving handmade, well thought-out presents will consider using my service. I make custom baskets for real estate closings, property management thank -you’s and wedding presents, and they have been well received. I either deliver directly to the sender’s office, ship or can deliver to the recipient.

Q: Why did you choose to open where you did? At this time, I am operating out of a workshop in my home and have plans to expand to a retail location within the next year.Q: What are your plans for your company’s future? Eventually, I hope Buffalo Mountain Gift baskets will be a Summit County staple for locals and visitors alike who want to give a gift reflecting this beautiful state.
