QWhat type of business do you operate – what do you sell, or what service do you provide?

A I am a Nikken Independent Wellness Consultant. The most important thing I do is help people through prevention instead of prescription. I put an emphasis on help because that is why I got involved in this business in the first place. I am one of those people who carry all my stress in my neck and shoulders. Waking up to a stiff neck with little mobility was something that I thought I would have to live with for the rest of my life. But I was introduced to Nikken and was told to try out their magnetic pillow. I woke up the next morning feeling great and with full mobility, something I never thought would happen. I began studying magnets and became fascinated. QWhere are you from, and why did you decide to open your business in Summit County?AOriginally I’m from California, but every summer since I was 6 years old, my parents would let me stay with my grandparents who lived in Colorado Springs. I fell in love with Colorado, and even at a young age, I knew this is where I would end up. I moved to Vail in 1997 and met my husband. We decided to move over to Summit County because real estate was more reasonable than Vail.QWhat experience do you have in this field?

AMy experience with Nikken and its products comes from using them in my own home. Before I decided to pursue it as a business venture, I had to first prove to myself that these products lived up to their reputation. I am by far the biggest skeptic I know, and I know lots of skeptics. I tried proving that the products didn’t work but each time I set out to do that, they proved me wrong. I just can’t argue with physical evidence, so I finally gave in and admitted that the results I was getting were incredible. QWhat sets your business apart from other similar businesses?AFor one thing, I don’t have any inventory. Nikken has the most innovative health products and the best business opportunity in the world. You don’t have to be a salesman. The products sell themselves. Skepticism is natural – it’s the sign of a smart consumer. It’s why I purchased many of the products to loan out to people who were interested.QWhat types of customers do you hope to reach in Summit County?APeople who want to live healthier lives. People who want to relieve some physical discomfort that is holding them back from doing what they love. People who want their home to be a refuge where they and their families can enjoy a healthy, happy haven.

QWhy did you choose to open where you did?AFor me, it’s very important to keep my home a healthy place for my family to come home to. Knowing that I can give them clean air, clean water and a great night’s sleep are vitally important to me. Being able to run a business out of my home is a blessing that I cannot describe.QWhat are your plans for your company’s future?ATo be successful, of course, and to help other people achieve the same success. That’s the great thing about having your own Nikken business – there is no competition. But all Nikken consultants, myself included, are dedicated to bringing a better way of life – a life with less stress and more joy – to everyone who will listen.
