Blue Moose hosting free dinner

The third annual Breckenridge Community Thanksgiving Dinner takes place today from noon to 5 p.m. at the Blue Moose Restaurant at 540 S. Main St.

The free family-style celebration includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce and pie.

While the meal is free, donations left at the door will benefit the House with the Red Door, a sanctuary for young people who hit hard times in the resort.

The event is hosted by the Blue Moose, the Great Divide Lodge, the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, the House with the Red Door, Kenosha steakhouse, Hearthstone Catering, Conscious Coffees, the Swiss Haven restaurant, the Village at Breckenridge and the Summit Daily News.

Additionally, the Summit County Rotary Club will hold its annual Thanksgiving feast at the Summit County Community and Senior Center at the County Commons near Frisco from 12:30-5 p.m.
