Daily News staff report

KEYSTONE – Around 3:50 p.m., Keystone Ski Patrol responded to the second jump on the Dutch Park terrain park on Keystone Mountain on a report of an injured snowboarder. Upon arrival, patrol found a 22-year-old male from Colorado Springs suffering from injuries apparently sustained while going off the jump. He was transported to the Keystone Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The snowboarder was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

There have been seven other deaths at Keystone Resort this season: Three were related to heart conditions; one was an employee who died in a snowmaking accident; and three were the result of collisions.
