Bob Faucett: Vote for 1A, Davidson and Stiegelmeier

Bob Faucett

I want to urge the people of Summit County to take a good look at Referendum 1A. Passage of it is a necessary step to improve and preserve the quality of Summit County through the county’s general fund. The small tax increase (investment in our future) that 1A proposes will, among other things, help pay for the continuation of funding of open space and trails, will strengthen the work for fire mitigation, and will enhance funding for what is, arguably, the summer’s most important tourist attraction: Summit County’s 56-mile bike trail system.

Listening to Thomas Davidson and Karn Stiegelmeier has convinced me that these two commissioner candidates understand the importance of 1A and are committed to both open space and trails and the enhancement and financial support of our bike trail system.

I strongly urge you to please consider voting for Davidson and Stiegelmeier as county commissioners and Referendum 1A to help these elected commissioners preserve and enhance our open space and trails and bike path system well into the future.
