Body found in woods

SUMMIT COUNTY – Two men discovered the body of a man near the County Commons in Frisco Monday night.

The two anonymous men were walking about 215 feet north of the bike path near the County Commons and spotted a tent. Inspecting the tent, the men found a male body.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release saying authorities are attempting to locate family of the 47-year-old. Sheriff Joe Morales said it appeared the man had been dead for several months and that foul play does not appear to be involved.

Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson put the date of death on or around Aug. 31 and said the body was badly decomposed.
