Body found on dock at the Dillon Marina

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

A group of locals walking their dog in the area discovered the body at around 12:30 p.m. and notified police. Dillon Police Sergeant Wendy Kipple said the body had been there for several days.The woman’s name was not released Sunday, pending an autopsy and toxicology reports, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson. Richardson said the woman was a Summit County resident.Her body was found at the end of A-dock. The marina has been closed since last week and boats pulled out of the water for the winter season, Kipple said.An investigation is underway and an autopsy is expected in a few days.
