Baseless bomb threat prompts strong police presence in Breckenridge following graduate parade

A bomb threat brought a strong police presence on Main Street in Breckenridge following the Summit County high school graduate parade on Wednesday, May 21.

The threat was reported at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday, and officers with the Breckenridge Police Department promptly cleared buildings and performed protective sweeps of the area, according to a news briefing published on social media by the department. Nothing suspicious was found.

“At this time, there is no threat to our community,” the Breckenridge Police Department post stated.
