Book sale set for Friday, Saturday

FRISCO – The Friends of the Summit County Libraries will hold its end-of-summer book sale from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 in the Buffalo Mountain Room at the County Commons Building in Frisco.

The August book sale is a good time to stock up on books for school, travel, hobbies or business. Check out their great selection of mysteries and histories, children’s books, fiction and non-fiction, foreign language books, and cookbooks. Visitors also will find videotapes and books on tape.

During the Friday sale, hard covers are $2, paperbacks are $1 and magazines are just 10 cents.

On Saturday, the prices for hard covers drop to $1, and paperbacks will be 50 cents.

“However the selection may not be as good on Saturday,” Janet Good, president of the Friends of the Libraries, said. “After 3 p.m. on Saturday, you can fill a bag with books for just $3. That’s a great bargain.”

All proceeds go to the Friends of the Summit County Libraries, a nonprofit group providing financial and volunteer assistance to the Summit County Libraries. For more information, call (970) 668-5555.
