‘Booster Seat Blitz’ in Breckenridge Saturday

Daily News staff reports

In an effort to save young lives, members of Child Passenger Safety Team Colorado will hold nine Booster Seat Blitz events across Colorado on Saturday. In Summit County, the event will be in Breckenridge from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beaver Run Conference Center, 620 Village Road.

The free events will feature certified child passenger safety technicians who can help parents determine the safest child safety seat according to their child’s age and size.

Accodring to the Colorado Dept. of Transportation, over the past five years in Colorado, 35 children ages 4-8 have been killed in traffic crashes, and 77 percent were not properly restrained in a booster seat or were totally unrestrained.
