Boreas Pass resident doesn’t think Stage route change is good

I am writing to express my surprise and concern regarding the proposed changes to the Boreas Pass route in the new Summit Stage timetable.

The changes to the Summit Stage timetable have been advertised as offering an “improved and extended service.” What is less boldly advertised is the fact that the last bus on the Boreas Pass route is being brought forward by more than two hours.

For those of us who rely on this service, this seemingly minor change presents a serious problem. I do not own a car and only recently moved up to Boreas Pass.

If I had known this change was imminent, I doubt I would have chosen to live here. I am not alone in my concerns. Many people are worried about the possible affect this change will have on drunken driving in Breckenridge and the problems this change causes for those who work late in town.

Please, Summit Stage, reconsider this small change in your timetable. I also encourage others affected by this change to express their concerns to Summit Stage.
