Editor’s note: This story has been updated to correct a typo in “Summit County.”
As of Thursday, Nov. 21, Boreas Pass Road in Breckenridge is closed for the winter seasn.
Summit County officials tried to wait a few weeks longer, but Mother Nature had other plans. The road is now closed to motorized traffic for the winter. Summit County will be plowing the parking area in front of the closure sign so people can hike and ski.
