Brad Thompson: Zipper lanes a bad idea

Brad Thompson
Frisco

I don’t know if I am the only one that is concerned with the idea of the I-70 Coalition and the state using zipper lanes on the weekends. If this stupid idea comes to reality, you can give up your weekend trip to Denver, because instead of the eastbound traffic taking three to four hours to get home, it will take you three to four hours to get home from Denver.

If the I-70 Coalition and the state would pull their heads out and remove the tunnels and straighten a few curves just past Idaho Springs, it would resolve the problem, and cost a lot less in the long run. If not, let the people who want to play in the mountains put up with the drive home; they are not forced to come up here. Hopefully, you will contact your favorite representatives, Gibbs and Scanlan, who represent Summit County, to not let this happen.
