BRC hands out Friends Welcome awards
BRECKENRIDGE – Four outstanding Breckenridge employees and one Breckenridge business were recognized for outstanding customer service by Friends Welcome on Wednesday, September 14, during the Breckenridge Resort Chamber Ambassador Mixer, held at The Lodgepole Bar and Grill at Grand Timber Lodge.Breckenridge employees can be nominated for the Friends Welcome award by visitors, co-workers or supervisors for demonstrating exceptional guest service at their place of work. Rewards for the four chosen employees include $120 worth of gift certificates for use in a variety of businesses in Breckenridge.September award winners are: Raven Cook, Crown Coffee House & Tavern; Billy Keithley, Salt Creek Restaurant and Saloon; Nancy Shockey, Gold Point Lodging; and Cara Gregory, Bank of the West.In addition to honoring the four outstanding guest service employees, Friends Welcome honored the Town of Breckenridge Transit division as Business of the Month. Business of the Month winners will automatically be eligible for the Business of the Year award.Nominations for the Friends Welcome Rewards and Recognition Program are currently being taken. Rewards for the next outstanding nominees will be given at the BRC Ambassador October mixer. Cash or checks can be collected and checks can be made out to the American Red Cross. All money will be collected by the BRC Ambassadors and deposited at Alpine Bank, who will match the amount donated locally up to $25,000. All money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross.
