Breck calls for entries for Oktoberfest artwork
February 27, 2008
BRECKENRIDGE ” The Breckenridge Resort Chamber is again offering the public the opportunity to design the artwork for the 14th Annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest to be held Sept. 12-14.
Local artists have the opportunity to capture the feel of the Munich festival in Breckenridge.
The winning artwork will appear on the 2008 Breckenridge Oktoberfest poster, the half and 1-litre steins and in the print advertising and branding of the event.
Concept sketches are due no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.
Sketches must be no larger than 14″ x 17″ and both horizontal and vertical formats will be accepted. Artists are encouraged to tie-in the feel of the Bavarian celebration and the feel of Breckenridge to their concept.
From the submittals, the winner will be chosen by a select panel of judges. Due to the multiple uses of the artwork we ask that artists use a limited color palette so that it can be readily adapted to the steins and to vector art.
