special to the daily
Summit Daily/Mark Fox

The Town of Breckenridge is implementing the next phase of the Main Street Revitalization project which is slated for completion by Oct.16 (weather pending). The improvements include surface drainage, sidewalk, and crosswalk enhancements (also referred to as ‘bulb-outs’) at the intersection of Ski Hill Road, Lincoln Avenue and Main Street. Pedestrian access to all businesses is being maintained throughout the construction. Street closures began on Sept. 21 as concurrent private utility work began on Lincoln Avenue, which partially reopened on Oct. 2 upon completion.

The Main Street Revitalization project entered into the second phase Oct. 5 and includes construction of the bulb-outs and crosswalks on the east side of Main and Lincoln Avenue. During this time southbound one-way traffic will be maintained on Main through the construction zone. Please expect traffic detours and lane closures on Ski Hill Road, Lincoln Avenue and Main Street during the construction, which is slated for completion on Oct. 16.
