Breck police request public’s help in possible TV theft

BRECKENRIDGE ” The Breckenridge Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the owner of a television, which might have been stolen, that was seized by Breckenridge Police Officers on Monday.

At 1:25 a.m. on Monday while on routine patrol, Breckenridge Police Officer Brian Ridge observed a man walking in the 200 block of North Main Street carrying a flat-screen TV. As the officer turned his police car around, the subject laid the TV on the ground and began walking away.

The officer contacted the subject, who stated that he had just purchased the TV from two men in the 100 block of South Main St.

The television is a flat-screen TV with a built-in DVD player. The TV appears to have been torn off a wall and has wires dangling from the rear.
