Breck to give locals break on parking

BRECKENRIDGE – For the second year in a row, the Town of Breckenridge is recognizing the month of May as “Locals Appreciation Month” for parking. The three-hour, time-restricted areas will not be enforced the entire month. All other parking rules and regulations, including handicap spaces and delivery zones, will continue to be enforced.Other upcoming changes include:• On Monday, April 23, the Tiger Dredge, F-Lot, E. Sawmill and Wellington lots will go to free parking for the summer. No overnight parking from 2-6 a.m. remains in effect throughout the summer months. Overnight parking for guests will continue to be available at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena (189 Boreas Pass Rd) for $5 per night, per vehicle. Overnight parking for oversized vehicles will remain at the Valleybrook Lot ($10 per night). Overnight permits are self-serve and can be picked up at the entrance to Town Hall.• Additionally, a four-hour Temporary Residential Parking Permit is now available for residents who need on-street parking for guests, for up to four hours.
