September 26, 2012
The Colorado Governmental Finance Officer Association recently awarded the town of Breckenridge its “distinguished budget presentation award” for the town’s 2012 budget report, acknowledging the document’s accuracy and helpful features for citizens.
The 2012 budget report included the town’s vision plan, a glossary, fund-structure description and a comprehensive organizational chart to make it more user-friendly for citizens, according to a Breckenridge statement on the award.
It is the first time Breckenridge has received the accolade, which indicates the town is “managed and reporting at the highest level of excellence,” the release stated.
